One of the things I think about a lot is how different my daughter’s friends are all going to look if we get to go back to school full time in the fall. We chose to do distance learning this year so she could do full-time ski team, so it will have been about a year and a half since she’s seen some of her classmates in person. That’s a long time when you’re in 4-5-6th grades!⁠⁠

Case in point is this handsome guy. He’s been going to school with my daughter since kindergarten. Since we were not able to do school photos (I volunteer to take our school’s photos every year) due to the pandemic, his Mom booked a mini session with me to get his yearly photos updated for his family. And wow! When he walked up to me I barely recognized him. All of a sudden he looked totally grown up, like a totally different kid! I wonder if they will all seem that way come fall.⁠⁠
